Elden Ring Bolt of Gransax Location

The Elden Ring Bolt of Gransax location is pretty difficult to reach; it lies in a place that the majority of players would probably never think of going to. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the Bolt of Gransax is missable, as we’ll explain in the second section of the guide. Keep in mind that we will spoil some things that happen later in the game, so SPOILER WARNING for the latter half of the article. Before that, though, let’s show you how to get the Bolt of Gransax in Elden Ring.

How to Get Bolt of Gransax Elden Ring

To get the Bolt of Gransax location in Elden Ring, you’ll have to do a bit of platforming and exploring. We start our journey at the West Capital Ramparts site of grace. Head out the door to the southeast and follow the path leading south. You’ll come across a giant bough or perhaps root of the tree that you can walk up, so do just that. Follow it up and to the southeast. When you hit the dead end, go onto the next root leading south and then looping up and to the north. Jump onto the balcony, go to the site of grace and activate it if you haven’t already. Head out the doorway to the west, down the stairs, and take the elevator down.

The next step to get to the location of the Elden Ring Bolt of Gransax is to climb that chain-like thing you’re gonna see in the distance on your left. So, make your way down the stairs and follow the path until you’re just above the “chain.” Carefully drop down to it and walk up equally carefully. Soon enough, you’ll see an item, which is, in fact, the Bolt of Gransax.

Elden Ring Bolt of Gransax After City of Ash

The Bolt of Gransax Elden Ring location becomes unreachable after the city of Leyndell becomes the Capital of Ash. In other words, this is the only missable legendary armament in the entire game, as far as we know. So, if you’ve pushed through the story and have witnessed the fall of Leyndell into ruin, as it were, you can forget about the Bolt of Gransax. At least now you know where you can get it in NG+. And that’s about all there is to it. If you need further help with the game, feel free to check out some of our other Elden Ring guides, like How to Get to Church of Inhibition, Avoid Madness and Fire’s Deadly Sin Location, Flightless Bird Painting.

Very early in your exploration of Elden Ring world you will find out that you need to prepare your character for different tasks. You'll need to learn how to use Ashes of War, how to two-hand weapons, or use magic spells during the course of your adventures. Many secrets are also waiting for you, such as, a hostile NPC Sellen that doesn't let you see her shop, an invisible man in a bush, or a huge turtle with a bell that lets you duplicate some very important items.
