Let Fia Hold You or Not Elden Ring Baldachin's Blessing

The Elden Ring let Fia hold you or refuse choice is one that you can make once you reach Roundtable Hold, the game’s main hub. It houses several special NPCs and vendors. Fia is one of them; you’ll find her sitting on the bed in the room behind the blacksmith. After some rather ethereal dialogue, she’ll offer to hold you. In Souls games, situations like these can sometimes kick off secret quests, or even affect the ending. That’s why we’ve put together our Let Fia Hold You or Not Elden Ring Baldachin’s Blessing guide, in which we’ll show you what happens in each instance, to the best of our knowledge.

Let Fia Hold You or Refuse Elden Ring Choice

The choice of whether to let Fia hold you or not and refuse in Elden Ring has interesting consequences. Definitely in the short term. If you refuse her, nothing will happen, of course. On the other hand, if you do let her hold you, she will give you an embrace that’s both endearing and creepy at the same time. Makes sense, considering she’s a deathbed companion, and her warmth was supposed to prolong the life of her lord. After the hug is over, you’ll get and item called Baldachin’s Blessing. It’s a consumable that spends 20 FP to buff your poise for about ten seconds, making it harder for enemies to knock you down. Also, you’ll get a 5% health debuff that lasts until you use the blessing. So, it’s a pretty interesting trade-off.

Baldachin’s Blessing

So, that’s what happens in the Elden Ring let Fia hold you or not and refuse choice, at least in the short term. The game is very long; it’s possible that there are more consequences down the line. We’ll be sure to update the guide if we discover any other stuff about this choice. Feel free to share any info you might have in the comments below. For now, the only thing we can say for sure is that it doesn’t seem to trigger any secret quest line or anything like that. However, that might happen later; we’ll have to wait and see. By the way, if you’ve spent the Baldachin’s Blessing and want another one, you have to go back to Roundtable Hold and hug Fia again.

Very early in your exploration of Elden Ring world you will find out that you need to prepare your character for different tasks. You'll need to learn how to use Ashes of War, how to two-hand weapons, or use magic spells during the course of your adventures. Many secrets are also waiting for you, such as, a hostile NPC Sellen that doesn't let you see her shop, an invisible man in a bush, or a huge turtle with a bell that lets you duplicate some very important items.
