Where to find Dogmeat armor in Fallout 4
In Fallout 4 you can equip your companions with all sorts of armor that you come across, and Dogmeat is not left out. Unfortunately, these armor pieces just change appearance of your companion and have only cosmetic purpose.
They cannot provide any protection for dogmeat. In this guide we’ll show you how to equip Dogmeat’s Armor and where to find it.
How to put gear on companion
Equipping your companion with new armor items is pretty easy:- Open up trade with your companion.
- Select the item you’d like them to equip.
- Press Triangle on PS4, Y on Xbox One, and T on PC.
Dogmeat’s Armor Location

What is the DMG resist on these? I found some Dog Armor and stuff in D.B. H.S. but it has 0 protection…
It does not give any protection, they are only for looks.
It makes no sense to have it just for looks its acutely stupid.
That’s because Dogmeat can’t die in Fallout 4
You can also put Welding Goggles on him.
I found a “spiked muzzle” and a “double dog collar” (two crossed collars with studs on them) on raider’s dogs too.
