How to Get Pokemon Sword & Shield Shiny Zoroark in Halloween Max Raid

To get the Shiny Zoroark in the Pokemon Sword & Shield Halloween Max Raid, the first step is to make sure that you’ve refreshed the Wild Areas, aka downloaded the latest update for the dens, as it where. Go into the menu, select Mystery Gift, and click “Get the Wild Area News.” From there, let the game do its thing, and you’re good to go.

Now it’s time to crunch some numbers. In one-star raids, you can only meet Zorua 10% of the time, with the standard Shiny rate. Starting with two-star raids, you can meet Zoroark 10% of the time, again, with the standard Shiny rate. In five-star raids, however, there’s a 2% chance that you encounter a Zoroark that’s guaranteed to be Shiny. As you might imagine, the odds are not exactly in your favor.

Now, of course, there is a way to cheat the system. Nobody will blame you for using it to get the Pokemon Sword & Shield Shiny Zoroark in the Halloween Max Raid because the event only takes place from October 29th to October 31st at 23:59 UTC. Not a lot of time to get what you want. So, what can you do?

Well, first, disconnect the console from the internet. Then, enter one of the raid dens. If it’s not a Zoroark outline, click “Invite Others.” When the countdown begins, go into the Switch home menu, then Settings, scroll all the way down to System, and select Date and Time. Move the date one day forward, and go back into the game, quit the den, and then go back in. See what you get. Rinse and repeat until you get what you need. Good luck!
