You should start this quest before completing the Now or Never Secondary quest, but after you’ve completed A Dangerous Game Side quest.
You will need the sorceress Triss Merigold for it.

Talk to Triss about the statuette.
In the Secondary quest "A Dangerous Game", you will come into possession of a Jade Figurine in Caesar Bilzen’s townhouse close to Hierarch Square. Take the figurine to Triss.
She can be found in one of the following two sites:
She will take you into The Bits, where you will ask her to lift the spell. A surprised Niflgaardian soldier will then appear and start talking about about a battle fought long ago.
It appears that he was trapped inside the figurine by Coral – the sorceress Lytta Neyd. Tell him to go and report to the van Attres, and the quest will be completed.

- The Crooked House – her hideout in The Bits
- The Rosemary and Thyme
