The surprising matter is that the DLCs will be up for grabs to anyone who picks up the game prior or subsequent to the game release. The content will be available on all platforms, regardless of which edition you have or whether you pre-ordered the game. The DLCs will be divided into 8 bundles (i.e. 2 DLCs per pack) releasing each week, starting February 25th, 2015, one day after the official game launch.

Here’s an excerpt from the official Q&A by CD Projekt RED regarding DLCs:

Q: What’s the plan? When can I expect the DLCs to be released?
The plan is to release a new DLC bundle (each bundle contains two DLCs) on a weekly basis, following the game’s launch February 24th, 2015. The first DLC bundle will be released the next day on February 25th. The next bundle will be available for download a week after that, on March 4th, the next on March 11th, and so on. The first bundle will contain the Temerian Armor Set and a Beard and Hairstyle Set for Geralt. The second bundle will contain an additional quest and an alternative look for one of the game’s main characters — Yennefer of Vengerberg.

These 4 DLC’s will be released in the first two weeks of the games’ release.
More information about the later 12 DLCs will be revealed soon, CD Projekt RED has stated. We’ve recently covered the new edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt collectors edition. Lead programmer, Marcin Iwinski shed some light on the dilemma regarding resolutions in games.
