Assassin's Creed Valhalla Pre-Order Bonuses & Special Editions

Along with the grand reveal of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft has also unveiled all the special editions and pre-order bonuses that you can get. There are several different editions, including Gold, Ultimate, and Collector’s Edition. Each of them, of course, cost more than the other, with the Standard one honestly barely being worth the $60.

So, first off, the pre-order bonus. If you secure your copy of AC Valhalla early, you’ll get the “The Way of the Berserker” bonus mission. Not really much to speak of there, except express my disdain towards games that cut out missions as bonuses like this. This mission is a part of any edition that you get, even the $60 Standard Edition that comes with nothing else, so long as you pre-order it.

Next up we have the Gold Edition, which will sell for a quite steep $100 (or $110 if you get the steelbook version). I say steep, because all it includes is the Season Pass. That’s quite a markup for what you get; one can only hope it’ll be worth the money. They do mention “access to epic new content, explore new lands, and discover new gear,” so we’ll see.

The we have the Ultimate Edition, and it’s not really ultimate at all, because Ubisoft doesn’t know what that word means. It is, however, the biggest digital edition you can get, and it comes with the Ultimate Pack. What’s that, you ask? Well, it’s a bunch of in-game items. Specifically, the Berserker Gear Pack, Berserker Settlement Pack, Berserker Longship Pack, and a set of runes used for upgrading gear. It costs $120, or $130 for the steelbook, which is a Gamestop exclusive, because Ubisoft.

Then we have the Collector’s Edition, which will set you back $200. It comes with everything we’ve already mentioned, and a whole bunch of physical items. You can see them all in the image above. Here’s what you’ll get here:

  • 30 cm Statue of Eivor
  • Steelbook (exclusive to Ubisoft Store)
  • Collector’s case
  • 5 cm Male Eivor statuette
  • Set of 3 exclusive lithographs of the game’s concept art
  • Selected game soundtrack
  • Numbered “premium” certificate of authenticity

So, there you have it. Those are the pre-order bonuses and special editions of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It’s not as big of a mess as I expected it to be, fortunately. Anywho, AC Valhalla is coming out on in the holiday season of 2020. You’ll be able to pick it up on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X, and Google Stadia.

If you need help with anything else in the game, we've got a metric ton of other guides for you to check out. For example, we've written AC Valhalla Hidden Ones Armor Set Locations - Ratae Bureau Armor & Londinium Bureau Key for quest A Brief History of The Hidden Ones, that will reward you with the Hidden Ones armor. We can also help with whether you want to let Rued Live or Die - Kill or Spare Rued Choice Consequences, or who to give silver to in AC Valhalla War Weary quest , and a well hidden AC Valhalla Comb location for Bil Maiden's Missive Rygjafylke World Event. Puzzle that caused us big problems was Unseal The Well during the quest Well Traveled. And, yes, we do have many more coming, stay tuned.
