How to Start Bad Juju Exotic Pulse Rifle Quest in Destiny 2?

To start the Bad Juju quest in Destiny 2, your first stop is on Nessus. Specifically, you want to go to the Barge in Watcher’s Grave, and visit Werner 99-40. There will be a Claus chest next to him that you’ll have to pay 5,000 Glimmer in order to open. Inside, you’ll find the Invitation from the Emperor. Next up, follow where the quest takes you; to the Tribute hall on the Leviathan, as it turns out.

Speak to the statue called Visage of Calus. It’ll give you a bunch of weekly bounties, and you need to complete one in order to progress the quest. Pick whichever bounty is the easiest for you and wrap it up to receive the Boon of the Emperor. Report back to the statue, and it’ll give you both a discount in its store, and a Flag to place in the Tribute Hall, which you can now access.

How to Unlock Bad Juju Pulse Rifle in Destiny 2 – How to Get Tributes?

There are two ways to get Tributes to unlock the Bad Juju Exotic Pulse Rifle in Destiny 2. One is to complete the Triumphs that you can find in the Tribute Hall section of the Triumphs menu. To find those, go into Destinations, then Minor, then find Tribute Hall. Most of these Triumphs include completing various activities in the game, often while using Opulence gear. These activities range from Strikes, Crucible and Gambit stuff, and so on.

The second way to earn Tributes is to purchase them directly from the statue of Calus. The prices are usually a combo of Planetary Materials, Glimmer, Legendary Shards, and Bright Dust. They are really, really expensive, though. However, completing the above-mentioned weekly bounties brings the price down some, and you can bring them down by a maximum of 80%; that’ll take a ton of time, though.

You have to collect a total of eighteen Tributes to get to the next step; every three Tributes will progress the quest a bit by giving you a statue of one of Calus’s dogs, though, so you’ll have some sense of progress. The best way to get eighteen is probably through a combo of purchasing them from the Visage and doing the Tribute Hall Triumphs, but that’s ultimately up to you and how full your wallet is.

Destiny 2 How to Get Bad Juju Exotic Pulse Rifle & Catalyst – The Other Side?

To get the Bad Juju rifle in Destiny 2, after placing eighteen Tributes, you’ll have to go through the Ascendant portal that opens in front of you. You can tackle the next step, called The Other Side alone or with your fireteam, so long as you’ve all placed the Tributes. However, you can probably complete the task easily on your own, because there’s no fail state, and the recommended Power Level is 350. Basically, you’ll have to go through waves of Taken, and defeat a whole bunch of Thrall and a Cabal boss at the end. Again, just do this whole thing nice and easy, there’s no rush and nothing to lose if you die.

Once you kill everything there is to be killed, another portal will open, and you’ll be back in the normal world. Approach the chest in the center of the Tribute Hall and collect the Bad Juju Rifle. It comes with the String of Curses perk, which reloads your weapon upon killing an enemy, and also gives you a stack of String of Curses. The more Stacks you have, the more damage you do and the faster your Super recharges.

You can also unlock the Bad Juju Catalyst, which grants you a longer time limit to keep the String of Curses stacks going. You can unlock the Catalyst by placing a grand total of 45 Tributes in the Tribute Hall. It’s quite the task, and will take a ton of grinding and time, but there you have it. When and if you do manage to place all 45 Tributes, you’ll then have the chance to purchase the Bad Juju Catalyst from the Visage of Calus for seven Legendary Shards. Good luck.
