Destiny 2 Eris Morn ????? Quest Bug Solution

There’s a bug with the first quest Eris Morn gives you in Shadowkeep. The quest might not appear in your tracker, or you might get a quest item with question marks instead of a name. If either of these happen, and stop you from turning in the quest to Eris after, there’s an easy fix that’ll help you out, but it’s not at all obvious. While fighting the Nightmare of Crota, you might get a quest item with question marks instead of a name. It drops near the end of the section, and it is clearly marked as a quest step. When you try to inspect it in your quest tracker, it probably won’t be there. Some people get lucky and complete the quest by simply talking to Eris Morn back at the Moon base.

If talking to her doesn’t finish the quest for you, that means your quest tracker was full. You’ll have to open it up and delete another quest or bounty in order to free up some space. Once you do, go to the postmaster and look for the quest item there. As far as we can tell, the quest cap is somewhere around 60, so if you have the habit of hoarding quests before solving them, you are probably affected by this.

If it still doesn’t appear after all that, your best bet would be to contact Bungie’s support. After all, it is a bug, and they’ll probably start working on it as soon as they’re made aware it’s plaguing such a vast number of players. It’s been a pretty rocky launch, with lots of people being unable to even start the game, so don’t expect a quick fix.
