Destiny 2 Festival of The Lost 2018 Event Details Released

The new Festival of the Lost in Destiny 2 is rearing up, so it’s time to check out some of the details of the event. First off, let’s see when the event will start and when it will end. According to the announcement on Bungie’s website, this year’s Festival of the Lost will start this Tuesday, on October 16th, and end on another Tuesday, November 6th, at 10 AM PST. That’s a whole three weeks of content and loot for you to enjoy.

So, what exactly can you look forward to in the 2018 Festival of the Lost? Well, the Tower is still going to be adorned with lanterns. Amanda Holliday has taken over that duty from Eva Levante. Next up, during the event, you’ll be able to access the Haunted Forest. You have fifteen minutes to go inside and shoot up all the Nightmares, or ghouls and demons, as the announcement puts it. The further into the Haunted Forest you go, the more difficult it gets. Also, starting October 30th, you’ll also have to solve the murder of Master Ives. Basically, this will be a quest chain leading you to the killers by the end of it. And, of course, there will be new Triumphs to unlock.

Last, but absolutely not the least, the loot, because that’s the main draw. Holliday will offer daily bounties for you to complete, which will earn you Fragmented Souls. You can then use those as currency to purchase Festival of the Lost masks, as well as the Horror Story Legendary Auto Rifle. Also, you’ll have the opportunity to earn an Ephemeral Engram for every XP bar you fill after max level, as well as Steadfast Engrams, giving you basically twice the Bright Engrams during the event. And, of course, you’ll be able to buy Ephemeral Engrams from Tess in the Tower, or spend Bright Dust to buy a specific item directly.
