Spoiler Alert: We’ll be discussing end-game content that happens after you complete the story campaign.

How to Craft Weapon & Armor Mods in Destiny 2?

In order to unlock Destiny 2 Mod Crafting, you’ll have to complete the story of the game. After that, go to The Tower and look for Banshee-44. Once there, he’ll let you create an Armor Mod or a Weapon Mod. Of course, you’ll also have to have both materials and enough money.

As far as currency goes, Banshee-44 will demand 1000 Glimmer. For the materials, you’ll have to take apart legendary mods, which you’ll gather on the way as you play. Once you have everything you need, Banshee-44 will make you a random mod. Yes, they seem to be always random, so don’t forget to pray to the gods of RNG. Good luck.

Can you Upgrade Destiny 2 Mods?

Yes, you can, but not before you complete the story. You’ll also need to reach Power Level 280. Once you can access the Tower freely and get to the required level, head over and pay Banshee-44 a visit in order to upgrade your Destiny 2 mods.

Here’s how the system works. Banshee-44 won’t ask for any Glimmer for this, but there’s another catch. You’re gonna need three blue mods of the same type that you want to upgrade. In other words, if you wanna, say, upgrade your Arc Damage, you’ll need three blue Arc Damage mods. Before you upgrade, you should know that all three blue mods will be lost. Instead of them, you’ll have your awesome new Legendary Mod.
