Destiny 2 Beta is going to take place this summer. It will give players a chance to try out the game before the September 8th release. The beta is supposed to be open for everyone, but there’s a way to get early access, if you’re interested. In this guide, we’re going to show you how to gain access to Destiny 2 Beta.
How to get Destiny 2 beta
If you’re patient, just wait for the Destiny 2 open beta start. Everyone should have access once it does. If you’re in a hurry, however, you can ensure you have early access to it if you preorder Destiny 2. The platform you preorder on doesn’t matter, and neither does the edition you buy – everything from the cheapest (standard) to the most expensive edition will guarantee you early access to the beta on PC, Playstation 4 or Xbox One.
If you’re on console, and decide to buy directly on the Playstation or Xbox Store, you’ll automatically get the beta as soon as it’s available. If you decide to go with a retailer, be it online or brick-and-mortar, you’ll have to redeem Destiny 2 beta code.
Once again, if you’re in no hurry to play, you can just wait it out. Preordering only for the sake of early access to a public test might be unwise. However, if you’re going to buy the game anyway, it might make sense to grab it now and get a handful of days of extra play time in the beta. There are several Destiny 2 editions that come with both physical and digital bonuses.
There’s no word on what the beta will entail exactly – it might be a small area with several missions, or it might be just crucible maps. We’ll hopefully have more info soon, as the beta’s (still unknown) start date creeps ever closer.
