Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild offers a myriad of different armors. They can grant you heat resistance, cold resistance, give you more speed or stamina. Each one of them has a unique look and special powers and it’s worth going after all of them. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find armor sets in Zelda Breath of the Wild & how to get them.
Ancient Armor Set
Collect the whole armor set and you’ll get Ancient Proficiency.

Armor upgrades – mini bosses Talus, Stalnox, Hinox, Lynel locations
Barbarian Armor Set
The armor set bonus will grant you the Charge Attack, as well as boost your stamina. .
|Barbarian Helm||Locate the maze in the far northeast of Hyrule and go into Tu Ka’loh shrine||Increases your attack power|
|Barbarian Armor||Inside Dila Maag shrine, in the Gerudo Desert labyrinth||Increases your attack power|
|Barbarian Leg Wraps||In the northeast of Hebra there’s a maze and the Qaza Tokki Shrine||Increases your attack power|
Tunic of the Wild Armor Set
The armor set bonus here is great – it increases the power of your Master Sword Beam.

|Complete all of the shrines to finish the side quest A Gifrt from the Monks||Boosts your Defense for +4|
Climber’s Armor Set

|Climber’s Bandanna||Head to Dueling Peaks and into Ree Dahee shrine that lies between||Increases your climbing speed|
|Climbing Gear||Southeast of Hateno Tower there’s an island and Chaas Qeta shrine, go inside||Increases your climbing speed|
|Climbing Boots||Go northeast of Hateno Research Lab and into Tahno O’ah shrine||Increases your climbing speed|
Dark Link Armor Set
You’ll get a speed buff at night if you collect the whole set. Getting the set is a bit complicated, though, so check out our Zelda Breath of The Wild Dark Link Costume & Kilton Vendor Location guide.
|You can buy it at Kilton’s Monster Shop. It’s a secret vendor available only during the night.||Increases Defense by 3|
Desert Voe Armor Set
Interestingly enough, the armor bonus set here is that you get some extra Shock resistance.

|Go to the back door of the Armor Shop in Gerudo to find the Secret Club Shop which sells this item.||Increases your Heat Resistance|
Flamebreaker Armor Set

|Flamebreaker Helm||Can be bought in Goron City Shop||Gives you resistance to flame and fire|
|Flamebreaker Armor||Can be bought in Goron City Shop, or complete Kima’s quest in Southern Goron Mine||Gives you resistance to flame and fire|
|Flamebreaker Boots||Can be bought in Goron City Shop||Gives you resistance to flame and fire|
Gerudo Vai Armor Set
The full set grants you Heat Resistance, but more importantly, it’s the answer to how to enter Gerudo Town.
|This armor set you’ll get during the Forbidden City Entry quest||Increases Defense by 1|
Hylian Armor Set
It’s a standard armor set, and really doesn’t offer any particular bonuses.
|You can get all the pieces at the shop in Hateno Village||Adds + 3 to Defense|
Radiant Armor Set
You’ll get a buff to your Bone attacks as an armor set bonus.
|You can find it in the Gerudo Secret Shop, behind the Town Armor shop||Helps lure in skeleton enemies (aka Stal-type)|
Rubber Armor Set
You’ll get the Unshockable armor set bonus if you collect all three parts.
|Rubber Helm||Go to the Lakeside Stable & complete the side quest Thunder Magnet||Increases resistance to Shock attacks|
|Rubber Armor||Complete the Toh Yasha Shrine, it’s near Ridgeland Tower||Increases resistance to Shock attacks|
|Rubber Tights||Head east from Faron Tower and complete shrine Qukah Nata||Increases resistance to Shock attacks|
Sheikah Stealth Armor Set
Acquire the full set and you’ll get the bonus of moving faster during nighttime.
Stealth Chest Guard
|You can get all the pieces at the Kakariko Village Shop||Increases your Stealth|
Snowquill Armor Set
Purchasing the entire set of Snowquill armor will stop you from freezing. Take a look at our How to Protect from Cold guide for more details.
|All armor pieces can be bought at the shop in Rito Village||Increases Cold Resistance|
Soldier’s Armor Set
Just like the Hylian Armor, it doesn’t offer any special bonus for the whole set.

Zora Armor Set

|Zora Helm||In the flooded ruins near Toto Lake. Use Magnesis to find and get a chest in the water||Increases Swimming Speed + Spin Attack while swimming|
|Zora Armor||During Divine Beast Vah Ruta, King Dorephan will grant you the Zora Chest||Increases swimming speed + you can swim up waterfalls|
|Zora Greaves||In Zora’s Domain, accept & complete Laflat’s “Lynel Safari” side quest||Increases Swimming Speed|
