Ascendant Challenge 16th October - Rest & Haunt - Destiny 2
Ascendant Challenge is one of the weekly bounties you can take from Petra Venj, the Dreaming City vendor in Destiny 2. When you start it, you’ll have to find a portal leading to the Ascendant Realm, use a special consumable to enter it, then complete the challenge you find in there – defeat certain enemies, find items, overcome jumping puzzles and such. They rotate on a weekly basis, which means each week the portal is at a different spot. Our Destiny 2 Ascendant Challenge October 16th guide will show you where to find the portal this week.
Where to find Ascendant Challenge portal?
The description on the weekly bounty is a quote from Toland the Shattered. It says “they call it a ‘rest’, but it is moore truly a haunt.” If you’ve been playing the game a lot since the release of the Forsaken DLC, you might realize the word “rest” points towards Aphelion’s Rest, a lost sector in the Dreaming City. You’ll find it at the Strand, the area in the southeast. The entrance is in the southeastern corner of zone. Go to the gazebo overlooking the ocean of mist, then jump down. Turn around to face the cliff, and you’ll see a cave mouth with the lost sector mark next to it.
Once you’re inside, drink a Tincture of Queensfoil – it will allow you to see the portal once you reach it. Follow the tunnels until you reach an open area with a couple of trees. Right as you leave the area, you’ll be accosted by a horde of Taken enemies, including two centurions. If you look above the ledge the centurions are standing on, you’ll see the portal. Enter it, and you’ll reach the Ouroborea, which is this week’s part of the Ascendant Realm.
