Destiny 2 Beta Preloads Start July 13th on PlayStation 4 & Xbox One
Activision has revealed when the Destiny 2 Open Beta preloads will go live. Both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One worldwide will be able to download the beta, even though the beta itself won’t start simultaneously. Of course, you’ll only be able to start the download if you have a beta key. The Destiny 2 Beta preloads will start on July 13th, at 10 AM PDT.
When does Destiny 2 Beta Preload begin?
As Polygon reports, Actvision has announced the date and time when Destiny 2 Open Beta preloads go up – July 13th, 10 AM PDT. That’d be 1 PM Easter Time, or 7 PM Central European. The beta preloads will start at the same time for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, despite the PS4 Beta going up a day earlier. In order to get into the Beta during the early access phase, though, you’ll have to preorder Destiny 2.
The Destiny 2 beta itself will start on July 18th for the PlayStation 4 and July 19th for Xbox One. That’s with early access. If you don’t preorder the game, you’ll have to wait until Friday, July 21st. The Beta will end on Sunday, July 23rd. For the exact times, check out our Destiny 2 Beta Starting Times Revealed article. This is all for console gamers. PC gamers will have to wait until August for their go at the beta.
What will you be able to do in the Destiny 2 Beta? Well, among other things, you’ll be able to check out the first mission from the game, one strike, two Crucible modes, and more. Destiny 2 will launch on September 6th for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC players will have to wait a while longer, since their version comes out on October 24th.
