Core of Nightmares - Core Empowered - Divine Fragmentation Destiny 2

Core of Nightmares in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep is a step in the Divine Fragmentation exotic quest, and the goal of the step simply states Core Empowered. This is about as vague as it gets. I wouldn’t blame anybody for asking how to empower the core in the Divine Fragmentation Core of Nightmares quest step. The solution is simpler than you’d might expect, but it is pretty obtuse. With that said, welcome to our Core of Nightmares – Core Empowered – Divine Fragmentation Destiny 2 guide, which will point you in the right direction.

How to Empower Core of Nightmares in Destiny 2 Divine Fragmentation Exotic Quest?

To empower the core in the Core of Nightmares step of the Divine Fragmentation exotic quest in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep, you’ll have to go to the Lectern of Enchantment. If you still haven’t encountered the Lectern, it’s the altar-like thing to the left of Eris Morn on the Moon. You’ll have to approach the Lectern and purchase the Empowered Decryption Core. It costs thirty Phantasmal Fragments. Check out our Destiny 2 Phantasmal Fragment Locations guide to find out how to get them.

Long story short, you can get them by killing Nightmares. Or, you can give Small Rice Cakes to the Jade Rabbits strewn around the surface of the Moon. Also, daily and weekly bounties reward you with the Phantasmal Fragments. Last, but not least, you can get them from Eris herself. Go to the Material Exchange tab, where the Empowered Decryption Core is. The Fragments will cost you twenty five Helium Filaments.

The next step in the quest is to take the Empowered Decryption Core to a secret room in the Garden of Salvation raid, but we’re not gonna be covering that here.
