So, what exactly is the hook of the Crown of Sorrow raid in Destiny 2? Well, apparently, one of Calus’s former Loyalists has gone insane, due to an Ascendant Hive relic. So, Calus is calling upon the Guardians once more to clear out the Hive menace. The trailer, which you can check out below, promises rich rewards. The raid, of course, is gonna be one of the central activities in teh Season of Opulence. It won’t be the only one, but let’s face it, it’s the one you’re the most excited to play, isn’t it?

Now, of course, what’s the biggest draw to the raid, if not the loot? The devs haven’t exactly detailed the rewards you’ll get for completing this raid, but I’ll say with some confidence that it’s gonna be cool stuff. Those that achieve World’s First will get a special championship belt to show off. Also, those that complete the raid in the first 24 hours after it launches will get an Emblem to wear in-game. Oh, and, during the first 24 hours, you can play the Contest mode, which power-caps players; 700 Power Level during the firs encounter, 720 at the final boss.

The Crown of Sorrow Raid in Destiny 2 is launching on June 4th, at 4 PM PDT. That’s gonna give you a small, six-hour gap after the Season of Opulence comes out to farm Power Levels if you have been slacking off a bit lately. So, gear up, put together your fireteam, and be prepared to dive back into the familiar confines of Calus’s ship to kick some Hive ass and earn that sweet loot.
