Destiny 2 Fangs of Shun'Gath Location - Essence of Rage - One Small Step

Fangs of Shun’Gath is an item in Destiny 2. It’s a quest item you’re tasked with getting during the process of cleansing the Essence of Rage. After you’ve completed this quest, you’ll get the One Small Step legendary weapon. Even though the mission description points you towards World’s Grave, you might have trouble finding this item. Where to find Fangs of Shun’Gath?

As the description states, you’ll find the Fangs of Shun’Gath in the World’s Grave. That’s one of the underground areas, accessible through the Temple of Crota. Once you’re there, you shouldn’t look for a collectible on the floor. Instead, look for a high value target called Shun’Gath, The Excised. He’s a regular Acolyte, but with more health and damage. When you defeat him, he’ll drop the item.

Essence of Rage – how to cleanse

Once you’ve obtained the Fangs, you’ll have to complete another objective. It requires you to score super kills, which is not the hardest thing in the world, but it can be tedious. Your best bet would be to start a big event like Escalation Protocol, teamed up with a Hunter who has tether. Switch to a super that can kill a lot of enemies, instead of focusing on a single target, and make sure you use it on swarms of lower level monsters instead of smaller groups of bigger ones.

Once you’ve completed both, you’ll get the Cleansed Essence of Rage. Bring this new item to the Lectern of Enchantment, next to Eris Morn’s base on the Moon, and you’ll get One Small Step. It’s a legendary shotgun with a rapid-fire frame, a relatively big magazine and pretty impressive reload speed.
