Destiny 2 Forsaken Errors & Problems – Tapir, Boar, Server Not Available

Error code Tapir

This one just means that the servers are down for maintenance. Most likely, the servers in your region haven’t gone up yet. There’s nothing you can do about it – you’ll just have to wait a bit longer.

Error code Boar

This code is supposed to appear when your download is interrupted. If you’re on a wireless connection, you could try plugging in a cable to stabilize stuff. If you’re not currently downloading a patch or update, it could also mean the servers are wonky at the moment. The latter is pretty expected, since the expansion just launched and the game is experiencing heavier traffic than usual. It could also mean your console is having trouble connecting to PSN/Xbox servers, which is also out of your hands.

Game sharing not working on Destiny 2 Forsaken

This is quite common, and if you’ve tried game sharing Destiny 2 whenever an expansion launches, you might be familiar with it. It’s not Bungie’s official policy, but it conveniently seems to happen only around new DLC releases. Interpret that as you will – you’ll probably have to give it a few days before you can use game sharing on Forsaken.

Destiny 2 Forsaken server not available

This one’s pretty simple, it means the servers are experiencing overload, right? Wrong. Although it would make you think there’s nothing you can do about this, several people have reported a hard reset of the console solved the issue.

Can’t launch Forsaken campaign after buying it

Some have complained about being unable to launch the Forsaken campaign and getting a prompt to buy it, even though they’ve already bought it. The solution here could be restoring your licences. If you’re unsure how to do this, take a look at this help article on Bungie.net.

Cannot buy Forsaken standalone

First of all, if you don’t own the base game and all of the old expansions, you won’t be able to play Forsaken. Some people seem to be unaware of that. If you do own all of the previous stuff and just want the new DLC, you should use the game’s director screen to buy it.
