Gambit Prime wins exotic quest bug

A lot of players have jumped at the opportunity to try out the new game mode, as was expected. What most of them noticed soon enough was that the wins from Gambit Prime, don’t count towards any of the tasks that require Gambit wins. This includes the Malfeasance and Breakneck exotic quests, as well as Eververse bounties from Tess and clan bounties from Hawthorne.

There’s nothing you can do about this, but Bungie are aware of the problem and it should be fixed in one of the upcoming updates. Some are even reporting normal Gambit wins not counting after the update. Whatever you do, don’t abandon the quests – once they issue is resolved, you’ll be able to continue where you left off.

As far as progress is concerned, you can play regular Gambit and hope for the best, or just forget about completing the tasks for a while and play whatever you enjoy most. The bug is going to be ironed out sooner or later, but you shouldn’t hold your breath – it could take more than a week, depending on the severity of the problem. With another exotic quest on the way and a whole bunch of stuff happening over the next few weeks, it’s unclear how much time the devs will be able to set aside for this one issue.
