Destiny 2 Getting Weapon Forge in Curse of Osiris

Curse of Osiris, the upcoming DLC for Destiny 2, was showcased for the first time in a stream last night. Bungie showed off a bunch of new locations, features and activities in it. The most interesting one for us was the weapon forge, part of the new social space that will allow players to craft legendary weapons. It seems like a great addition to the game, especially since there are only a handful of weapons that can be obtained through quests.

Destiny 2 Getting Weapon Forge in Curse of Osiris

The weapon forge will be located in The Lighthouse, a social space set on Mercury. It will become available only after you’ve completed the DLCs story missions. When you’re done, go talk to Brother Vance, and he’ll start selling Lost Prophecies. They’re basically quests – each one will lead you to a certain weapon schematic.

After you pick up the Lost Prophecy, you’ll have to collect some items, most of which are obtained by killing enemies and completing activities. The quest’s description will show you what the best way to get the items is – it could be Crucible, public events, heroic variants, etc.

Once you’ve got them, bring them back to Brother Vance, and he’ll give you an item that acts as a schematic. Approach the forge with it, and you’ll be able to craft a particular weapon. If you look past the forge, you’ll see a circle on the wall – the one with the flower/eye symbol in the middle. The lights around the circle represent the forge weapons – the glowing ones are those you’ve collected, while the dark ones are those you’ve yet to obtain.

In the end, there’s only eleven of them. It’s not a particularly large number, but since most weapons in the game are obtained solely through good luck with drops, it’s more than enough.
