Destiny 2 Getting PS4 Pro & Xbox One X Patches, Double XP Weekend
Destiny 2 will get a patch to update the game for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One X. The update will come out on December 5th, and introduce HDR lighting and adaptive 4K resolution for both consoles. Also, Destiny 2 Guardians that are members of a clan will have the chance to earn double XP next weekend, starting November 17th.
Bungie has decided to give Destiny 2 a facelift, to satisfy all those Guardians that own a PlayStation 4 Pro or the newly-released Xbox One X. According to the blog post on Bungie’s website, the patch that will upgrade the game for the new consoles will launch on December 5th, along with Season Two and Curse of Osiris. As the post says: “…we’ll be deploying an update to Destiny 2 that will deliver stunning gameplay with high dynamic range (HDR) lighting to these new consoles. You’ll also see adaptive 4K resolution on the PlayStation 4 Pro and 4K on the Xbox One X.” So, if you’re a devout Destiny 2 player, and have upgraded to one of these consoles, you’ll soon be able to enjoy the new and improved visuals.
In other Destiny 2 news, clan members in Destiny 2 will be able to enjoy a Double XP Weekend with the first Clarion Call next week, starting 10 AM Pacific on November 17th. The event will end on November 20th, at 10 AM AM Pacific. Everything you do with a clan member on your fireteam will grant you twice the XP during the event. So, if you’ve been on the fence about joining a clan, this might nudge you into it. If not, don’t worry, solo player. The blog post states that they’ll be holding future Clarion Calls that won’t have clan membership as a requirement. You that are clan members, be sure to make good use of the weekend.
