Destiny 2 Vex Crossroads Public Event in Curse of Osiris
Vex Crossroads is the name of the public event coming with the Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris DLC. It will require the team to travel back and forth in the arena, killing enemies to earn keys and close Vex gates. Of course, there will be a boss waiting for you, as well as that sweet, sweet loot. Of course, there’s also a way to trigger the Heroic Vex Crossroads event in Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris.
The Vex Crossroads is the largest Public Event in Destiny 2. Curse of Osiris introduces a new planet – Mercury, and this public event is set there. The event consists of two parts, with several steps in each one of them.
So, how will the Vex Crossroads public event work in Curse of Osiris? Well, there’ll be several steps to the process. There’ll be quite a bit of back and forth. The first step is to shoot up the traveling Vex, aka those popping out of the gates. After you kill enough of them, you’ll summon the Gate Keepers. Killing a Gate Keeper gives you an orb, which you need to slam dunk into the “lock” to close the gate. After doing so twice, you move to the other side of the map, and repeat the process.
From there, you move back to the side of the arena where you began, then use the jump pads to go over to the island just beyond the arena. There, you’re supposed to kill the Gate Keeper and slam dunk the orb again. This time, however, you can ignore the adds, because slamming the orb will destroy them all. After you do that, you have to travel to the island on the opposite side. Like I’ve said, a lot of back and forth. Your final task is to go to the center of the arena and defeat the Gate Lord. If you trigger the heroic version, the Gate Lord will have a shield around it. To bring the shield down, you have to, you’ve guessed it, kill the Gate Keepers and slam dunk the orbs. All in all, pretty straight-forward, and quite possibly pretty fun to play with friends.
How to Trigger Heroic Vex Crossroads
- Once you collect the first set of orbs from gatekeepers, use the portal jump on one of the islands.
- Look around, and you’ll spot a levitating crystal in the air.
- Shoot at the Crystal and destroy it, and a new platform will spawn. Jump on it, and a new crystal will appear. Repeat the process until the last platform takes you to the top of the tower.
- At least one group member should continue on with the public event, while other players focus on destroying crystals.
- Once you reach the top of the platform, you’ll see a metal plate at the center of the tower. Just stand a on it for a few seconds, and you’ll activate the heroic Vex Crossroads public event.
