How to Prepare for Destiny 2 Warmind DLC?

To get ready for the upcoming Warmind DLC in Destiny 2, the first step you should take is to bring your Power Level up to the maximum. This is especially important if you’ve skipped over the Curse of Osiris DLC for whatever reason. You want to be able to get really powerful weapons and gear dropping as quickly as possible, so entering Warmind as decked out as possible will be key. After all, the new raid lair Spire of Stars will start this Friday, so you won’t have too much time to grind out gear and level up.

Secondly, there’s some stuff that you can stock up on, such as Cayde’s maps, that will help you to get some good exotics fairly quickly. However, before getting into specifics, there’s one important side note here. You might want to hold off on completing these quests until you complete the story part of the Warmind DLC. Basically, wait until you reach the new rank cap of 30 that Warmind will impose. Anyway, make sure to get yourself some treasure maps from Cayde-6. This is a fairly easy and cheap way to get yourself some exotics. Also, once you reach the 30 level cap, start handing in the different tokens to the appropriate people (Vanguard Tokens to Zavala, etc). Same goes for your Clan Tokens and Iron Banner Tokens.

Last, but not least, the various resources. Naturally, you’re going to want to stock up on Glimmer, Legendary Shards, and Bright Dust. Odds are, you’re going to be doing quite a bit of shopping once the DLC goes live. Also, save your Masterwork Cores for upgrading/rerolling the new exotics coming in the Warmind DLC. Same goes for Gunsmithing Materials; save them until you complete the campaign so you can get some new exotics. Another thing you’re gonna need is Fireteam Medallions, so that you and your team get higher CP gains and better loot odds.
