The new Warmind DLC for Destiny 2 is going to be switching up some stuff. One of the most important changes is to the Eververse, with the introduction of the Prismatic Matrix and Prismatic Facet. Destiny 2 Warmind DLC Prismatic Matrix & Facet Explained

A lot of people have been angry at Bungie for the Eververse store in Destiny 2. The new method of monetization left plenty fans with a bitter taste in their mouths, and rightfully so. However, despite the backlash, Destiny 2 still chugs on, and the Eververse is still very much there. However, with the upcoming Warmind DLC, Bungie will be introducing certain changes to how the Eververse will work, which brings us to the Prismatic Matrix and Prismatic Facet, announced in a blog post several days ago.

So, what exactly is a Prismatic Matrix and a Prismatic Facet, and how will they work? Well, after Season 3 launches, the Prismatic Matrix will appear in the Eververse. In it, there will be ten items that are in the store’s stock. After every weekly reset, with your well-rested buff, you’ll get one free Prismatic Facet, and you can buy more for 200 Silver a pop. They stack up to three. You can then go to the Eververse and use the Prismatic Facet on the Matrix to receive one free item from the Matrix, selected at random. The items are on a knockout list, meaning that there’s no way that you’ll get a duplicate item. If you have all the items currently in the Matrix, you won’t be able to use the Prismatic Facet.

The Prismatic Matrix will in no way interfere with the other methods of getting items from the Eververse. You’ll still be earning Bright Engrams by leveling up beyond the level cap, or purchase them in the shop. Additionally, Bungie will be upping the number of items that you can get from the shop with Bright Dust from 14 to 18 each week.
