Destiny 2 Xur Returns on Friday September 15th

Xur in Destiny 2 will appear next weekend, Bungie has revealed. Once again, he’ll pop up in a random location, and you’ll need to find where he’s hiding. Of course, as before, he’ll sell you exotic equipment for his own currency. You’ll be able to find him September 15 – September 17 and see what he has to offer.

When does Xur return to Destiny 2?

Xur will return in Destiny 2 from Friday, September 15th, to Sunday, September 17th. He will appear somewhere in the public space on one of the planets. Yes, you’ll have to look for him much harder than before, adding a fresh aura of mystery around Xur in Destiny 2. Trials of the Nine will begin on the same date. This was revealed in Bungie’s weekly blog post. There’s no reliable information on the exact time on when Xur will appear, but a good estimate would be around 9 AM GMT, which would be around 2 AM Pacific Time / 5 AM Eastern Time. We could be wrong, though, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

For those that don’t know and are new to Destiny, Xur is a mysterious vendor that sells exotic weapons and armor. He requires a separate, special currency. In Destiny 1, he demanded Strange Coins; in Destiny 2, it’s Legendary Shards. He spawns every weekend, in different locations, and swaps out the exotic gear he offers. Back in the first game, he popped up in social spaces. In Destiny 2, as I’ve mentioned above, he’ll appear somewhere in the public spaces. It could be on any of the planets, so finding him will be a challenge. Where will he be? What will he sell? we’ll just have to wait until next week to find out.

Destiny 2 is now out on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. On the PC, it will come out October 24th.
