How to Use Talisman Pouch in Elden Ring

You don’t have to use the Elden Ring talisman pouch in any way. By that, I mean, you just have to get the item, and it does its thing automatically. As soon as you pick up a talisman pouch, you’ll immediately get another slot in which you can carry another talisman. You don’t need to find the pouch somewhere in your inventory and consume it or anything like that. Everything happens of its own accord, thank heavens. God only knows it’s complicated everywhere else, so enjoy the one time where it’s nice and simple. So, how do you actually get more of these?

Talisman Pouch Locations in Elden Ring

There are three talisman pouch locations in Elden Ring that we are aware off. Two of them are relatively early on, and the third comes way later. You can get your first talisman pouch by defeating Margit the Fell Omen, which is likely going to be the first “real” boss you encounter. Since the game is open-world, your mileage may vary, but Margit will probably be the first unskippable boss you fight (unskippable in the sense that you have to kill him to beat the game).

To get the second pouch, it seems you have to obtain two Great Runes. That’s probably going to happen after you kill Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. She’s the boss of Academy of Raya Lucaria. Once you have two Great Runes, go and talk to Finger Reader Enia in Roundtable Hold (location described in our Knight Armor Set Location guide). She will reward you with another talisman pouch.

The third and last patch we know of drops from the boss called Godfrey, First Elden Lord. You’ll fight him in Leyndell, Royal Capital. Not much more to be said about that.

Margit the Fell Omen Didn’t Drop the Talisman Pouch

If Margit the Fell Omen didn’t drop the Talisman Pouch in Elden Ring, then you’ve encountered a bug. On the bright side, you’re not the only one. Other players have been reporting this problem, too. The bad news is that there is no solution for this problem that we know of. If you’ve managed to unearth some sort of fix or workaround, let everyone know in the comments. For now, the only advice we can give you is to contact From’s support and wait for the developers to solve the issue. Meanwhile, you’re gonna have to make due with one less talisman pouch. It’s definitely a handicap, so I wish you the best of luck.

Very early in your exploration of Elden Ring world you will find out that you need to prepare your character for different tasks. You'll need to learn how to use Ashes of War, how to two-hand weapons, or use magic spells during the course of your adventures. Many secrets are also waiting for you, such as, a hostile NPC Sellen that doesn't let you see her shop, an invisible man in a bush, or a huge turtle with a bell that lets you duplicate some very important items.
