The Elden Ring Unalloyed Gold Needle location is necessary to figure out in order to continue Sage Gowry’s quest line. However, he doesn’t give you much info to go on; all you know is that it’s somewhere in the Swamp of Aeonia, which is slightly more useful than an oven made of ice. That’s why we’ve put together this guide, in which we’ll show you where to find the Unalloyed Gold Needle in the Gowry needle quest.
Where to Find Unalloyed Gold Needle in Elden Ring
To find the Elden Ring Unalloyed Gold Needle location, you need to go into the Swamp of Aeonia, as we’ve said. In fact, your target is just to the west of Gowry’s Shack. Once you go to the place we’ve marked on the map for you, you’ll find yourself in a circle surrounded by gnarled, diseased trees. In the middle of it is a hulking standard-bearer in armor called Commander O’Neil. Don’t let the pedestrian name fool you; this guy is a formidable enemy. Not only does he summon additional enemies twice during the battle, but his attacks are brutal and can cover a shocking amount of ground around him. Once you do manage to bring him down, he’ll drop the needle and the Commander’s Standard, aka the halberd he was just thrashing you with.
So, that’s where you’ll find the location of the Unalloyed Gold Needle in Elden Ring. Side note; magic users are gonna have a much easier job with O’Neil, since you’ll have an easier time avoiding the Commander’s Scarlet Rot. Anyway, after the battle is over, go back and report to Gowry to trigger the next step of the quest. However, the rest is up to you to discover. If you’re still having trouble finding the needle, check out this Gamers Heroes video, from which we got the screenshots.
