A while ago, Rockstar have announced a special care package for all those that have played Red Dead Redemption 2 since it launched on PC, as an apology of sorts for the issues they’ve been experiencing. The package contains a ton of ammo and other useful items. Oh, and even a nice poncho that you can pick up at a clothing store or your cam[ wardrobe. And, apparently, it’s already available.
The launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC has not exactly been stellar. In fact, it’s been a bit of a disaster. Fortunately, most of the problems have been removed. Some issues still remain, such as the ERR_GFX_STATE error, but the game is now in a markedly better state than it was on release. And just in time for the game’s launch on Steam, coming on December 5th. By then, hopefully Rockstar will have rooted out the remaining hiccups.
But worry not, those of you that have stuck with the game since it came out on Rockstar, Stadia, and Epic. According to a post on the official website, they’ve prepared a special care package for you as an apology and thank-you. The entirety of the package is now available for you in Red Dead Online. For one, you can pick up the Prieto Poncho for free at any clothing shop, or in the camp wardrobe.
After you pick up your snazzy new poncho, head over to Wheeler, Rawson & Co. and collect your “curated care package of items to help players survive out on the open range.” You can find the full list of stuff on the website, but rest assured, there’s a lot. You’re gonna get hundreds of pieces of ammo for all kinds of weapons, fire arrows, poison throwing knives, volatile fire bottles, etc. Oh, and then there’s the curative items, such as horse revivers, potent miracle tonics, and your humble baked beans. All that is yours for the taking.
If you end up getting stuck at another point, you might want to check out some of the other guides we have. We've written about mysteries like the missing person Gavin, the Rhodes Gunsmith prisoner, the locked door at Valentine doctor. We also have instructional guides that show how to rob stores without getting bounty or where to sell jewelry and gold bars. If it's collectibles or key items you're after, we've found all the Penny Dreadful comic books, Chick's treasure map location, or that famous pipe for Dutch. Finally, if you don't care to explore the map yourself, you could take a look at our Watson's Cabin and Catfish Jackson's Homestead locations guides.
