How to defeat Troy Calypso in BL3?

The biggest threat when fighting Troy are his balls. They will easily decimate your health, so it’s important you avoid them all. Thankfully, they are easy to spot, slow moving and generally not hard to dodge. The only exception is the wave he shoots out after the slam jump attack. Keep your distance and never stop moving. When he jumps at you, run away as fast as you can.

Then there are the missiles – if you never stop circling him, they won’t be an issue. When he teleports out of the arena between phases, he’ll try to fry you with fiery columns. Watch the ground and keep moving, and you’ll be fine. Shoot the laser emitters to break his immunity and start the next phase.

When he starts collecting rocks above his head, just keep circling him. He’ll slam them into the ground, but you’ll be long gone by then. When he’s down to about 10% health, his patterns will speed up – make sure you’ve saved up some medkits for then.

Fall through map bug

A number of players have been complaining about an issues that causes them to fall through the map after the post-fight cutscene. We’ve heard of two possible fixes for this. The first is to perform a slam, which will speed up your fall, and wait to die and get respawned. The other is just quitting the game and going to the lost loot machine at Sanctuary, but some reports claim there was nothing in it when they got there, so take the suggestion with a grain of salt.
