How to Get Destiny 2 Black Armory Key Mold in Izanagi’s Burden Quest?

To get the Black Armory Key Mold in Destiny 2 for the Izanagi’s Burden quest, you have to pick up the intro quest from Ada-1 and complete it. We’re talking about the mission that gives you a gun frame and revolves around it. This might seem like the most obvious thing to do, but if you’re returning to Destiny 2 just now and are catching up with the content released in the interim, you might miss this crucial step.

See, due to the relatively open nature of the game, and in order to let returning players catch up, the game lets you get the Mysterious Box from Ada-1 right from the jump, along with the weapon frame quest. The Mysterious Box lets you access the Forges and complete all the related content, but when it comes to the Black Armory Key Mold, you’ll hit a dead end. You can’t get this item until you complete the weapon frame mission. When you do that, you’ll get access to Ada’s bounties, the EDZ forge, and, of course, the darn Black Armory Key Mold.

From there, you can proceed with the mission as normal. Soon enough, you’ll get your hand on the Izanagi’s Burden exotic sniper rifle. It’s most interesting perk, in my opinion, is the Honed Edge. It consumes the entire magazine, but lets you load one round with extra damage and range. Just what you want from a sniper rifle, and all you need if you’re good with it.
