Destiny 2 Essence of Pride - Nightmares in Lost Sectors on Io, EDZ, Titan, Nessus

Essence of Pride is a quest item in Destiny 2. You can get it as a random drop while playing Shadowkeep. It’ll task you with killing Nightmares in lost sectors on Nessus, Titan, Io and EDZ. The description explicitly says that lost sectors on the Moon don’t count, which is a pity, because that’s where most Nightmares live. In order to save you some time, we’ve written this Destiny 2 Essence of Pride guide, to show you which lost sectors to look in.

Where to find Nightmares in Lost Sectors?

Since not every lost sector outside of the Moon has Nightmares, finding the right ones might be tricky. That’s where we come in – we’re going to name some that are guaranteed to have them. We completed the Essence of Pride at Io, by farming the Grove of Ulan-Tan (the one in the Lost Oasis, north of the landing point). You can also try Widow’s Walk in the EDZ, or Cargo Bay 3 and Methane Flush on Titan.

Three Nightmare kills should be enough to fill the bar, and you can speed up the process by teleporting to the nearest landing point after you finish a run, then heading back in.

Essence of Pride bug – can hold only one at a time

There’s a bug some players have been experiencing with the Essence of Pride. Once they’ve collected it, the item doesn’t appear in their quest tracker, and Eris Morn won’t allow them to buy another. The message they get from her states they can only hold one at a time. This usually happens because the quest tracker was full (or the game thought it was) at the time when the quest item dropped. In order to find it, you just need to go to the postmaster and claim it.
