How to Get Destiny 2 Melted Hand Cannon Hunter Relic?

Getting the Destiny 2 Melted Hand Cannon requires you to farm chests. It doesn’t seem to matter which one. Whether they drop after you kill a high-value target or complete a public event, or if you go looking for Lost Sector chests and golden chests, seemingly any of them can contain the Melted Hand Cannon relic.

However, it’s not as straight-forward as it may seem. The Melted Hand Cannon won’t start appearing in chests until you reach a certain level. The consensus among players is that you need to be level 9 or 10 at least. Character level, that is, not Light level. It’s worth noting that there’s been talk of Guardians getting their relic at level 8, though. After that, it’s pretty much a matter of luck. There’s no way to tell when you’ll acquire the relic. You might even get it on your first try, if the gods look upon you with mercy. Just keep opening chests until you finally get the Melted Hand Cannon.

Finding the Melted Hand Cannon relic is, I’m afraid, only the first step. Once you collect it, you’ll need to charge it through Public Events. Only then will you be able to pay a visit to the Shard of the Traveler.
