Necrotic Cyphers are lore triumph items in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep. There are 14 of them in total, and they’re strewn across the newly introduced Moon map. Finding them will unlock new bits of lore on the triumphs page, letting you find out more about the universe and the characters that inhabit it. Once you’ve got them all, you’ll complete the Inquisition of The Damned lore triumph. They aren’t particularly well hidden or off the beaten path, but there’s also nothing to draw your attention to them – no markers, no glow, nothing. Where to find Necrotic Cypher lore triumph items?
The fourteen cyphers aren’t the only ones around, or so it seems. We’ve collected all the ones listed on the triumph page, but the meta-triumph still claims there are six missing. It might be a bug, or they might just be hiding out in the Garden of Salvation, the locale of the upcoming raid. We’re going to update this guide if and when we get more info. Lore triumph items don’t give you anything substantial – no loot, no consumables, nothing. There’s just the knowledge of the universe, along with a few hundred triumph points. If you take pride in having a high number displayed on your emblem next to your name, go for it. Otherwise, maybe your time would be better spent doing something like the Symphony of Death exotic quest, collecting the Jade Rabbit statues, working towards a set of Dreambane armor, or simply hunting Nightmares on the Moon.
