New Details About Destiny 2 PvE Content & Nightfall Strikes Emerge

There’s some new info about Destiny 2 in the latest issue of Edge Magazine (one of the last games magazines on Earth, printed on actual paper using an actual Gutenberg printing press). Subscribers have started receiving their copies in the mail recently, and they took to the internet in order to share what they’ve learned. It’s mostly about the PvE content and Nightfall strikes.

One such subscriber is Reddit user kapowaz. They were kind enough to share their findings, as well as a picture of the magazine cover.

Destiny 2 Will Have 80+ PvE Missions

Let’s get the most impressive number out of the way first – Destiny 2 is supposed to have more than eighty PvE missions and activities. It’s so full of stuff to do that, at one point, testers reached the level cap still having plenty of quests on the to-do list. Bungie were quick to point out this has already been fixed, but also that testers spent around 55 hours playing before getting to the point where they hit max level.

It’s really encouraging to hear this – that’s roughly as much missions as the first game has right now, after three years of expansions and updates. No more hitting the level cap after a weekend of playing.

Destiny 2 Nightfall Strikes Will Have Time Limit

The second major piece of info was regarding Nightfall strikes. It seems these will now come with a time limit. They were already a tough activity for many, but now they’ll require even better coordination and communication. An example they gave was thirteen minutes – this may be more than enough for a team that knows each other well, but a bunch of random internet strangers are going to feel pretty constrained.

Destiny 2 is going to be released on Playstation 4 and Xbox One on September 6th, while PC players will have to wait until October 24th.
