Shoot to Score Quest Not Progressing in Destiny 2

The Destiny 2 Shoot to Score quest is not progressing for people, as we’ve said, and they want to know what’s going on. They’ve worked hard to reach scores sometimes well above the Platinum threshold of 175,000, but they’re still stuck with the Gold Contender’s Boon. So, what gives? Well, as far as we can tell, it seems that there’s some kind of time gate that might be staggering your progress. The next step in the quest chain requires you to do stuff in the Competitive List, which isn’t going live until the weekend. So, that might be why the game won’t let you get the Platinum Boon. Maybe you’ll just have to wait a few days.

So, that’s the probable reason why the Destiny 2 Shoot to Score quest is not progressing as it should. After all, there are eighteen steps to complete. Now, mind you, this is just conjecture on our part. It might actually be some kind of bug that’s actually preventing you from reaching the Platinum Contender’s Boon. We’ll just have to wait and see whether the developers come out with a statement about all this, and/or a patch to fix it. And if it is just a time-gated progression thing, then they really did not communicate that very well, hence all the unnecessary confusion. Either way, feel free to vent your frustrations in the comments. Just keep it civil.
