Destiny 2 Vault of Glass - Old Raid Making a Return

Vault of Glass is going to make an appearance in Destiny 2 at some point in the future. The news was revealed earlier today, during a live stream with Mark Noseworthy and Luke Smith of Bungie. It’s going to be part of a new initiative called the Destiny Content Vault, in which they’re going to scrap old stuff and introduce new (or in this case, even older) stuff. But when is it coming? When are you going to be able to relive the trauma of never-ending raid?

Apparently, the whole vault thing is going to start in Year 4. They’ve decided to bin some of the older, less popular places and activities in order to make room for new ones. It was about time, really. The game is already asking for insane amounts of hard drive space, and they just keep adding more and more on top. This way, they won’t have to worry about space restrictions, and they’ll get to add new stuff without resorting to making a sequel.

That’s another thing they’ve mentioned. No sequel is planned at this point – they want to maintain Destiny 2 as a living universe, and making a sequel would mean they don’t have the resources to do that. So they’ll just keep removing stuff you’ve already played to death in order to give you MORE CONTENT. In this case, it’s even older content, but Destiny fans seem to react positively to things from the first game appearing in the second, so it’s probably going to be a win-win situation.

Unless, you know, you have painful memories of the Vault of Glass from way back when. But you probably don’t. Everybody loved that one. A bunch of folks have even spent years complaining how the new raids are nothing compared to the Vault of Glass and its ilk.
