How to Start Vex Offensive in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep?

To start the Vex Offensive activity in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep, there are four steps you have to complete, as described in our How to Start Eyes on the Moon – Vex Gate Lords guide. First, go to Ikora Rey and speak to her. Take the Vex Invasion Emergency Protocol from her. The mission is to kill 100 Vex and 3 Gate Lords.

Step two is to go back down to the surface of the Moon and head to one of the Vex Invasion locations. These are marked by a Vex head in a diamond on the map. Any of the three will do. Go to your preferred one and chill out for a bit.

After a while, the sky will open, and a huge orb of lightning is gonna appear. Vex are gonna start raining from the sky. This is step three – kill everything that’s moving. Ideally, you’ll have a fireteam for this, since the event stops after a while, and, if you haven’t killed any Gate Lords, tough luck. You’ll have to wait around again for the invasion to restart. Try going into orbit and back to see if that helps. Repeat as necessary until you complete Ikora’s quest.

Step four is to report to Eris Morn. Yeah, you’d think it’d be Ikora, but that comes later. After you report to Eris, you can start the Vex Invasion arena. Simply select the big, blue Vex symbol on the map, hit launch, and get ready to party.

How to Kill Vex Offensive Boss – Crotheon Gate Keeper?

To kill Crotheon Gate Keeper, the boss of the Vex Offensive in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep, you’ll have to bring down his shield. You do this by killing the Gate Technicians, which are powerful adds that appear during the boss fight. When killed, the Gate Technician will drop a Void Cranium. Rush over, pick it up, and aim the laser beam at the boss. Keep him under fire until the shield drops. Once the shield drops, hit Crotheon with everything you’ve got.

Eventually, the shield will go up again. Repeat the process as necessary, and soon enough, Crotheon will drop. It doesn’t take more than a couple of minutes if you have a well-coordinated team. On that note, you don’t need me to tell you that a fireteam is required to pull the Vex Offensive off. I don’t think it’s possible to solo.

When you kill Crotheon, go back to Ikora to complete the quest. After that, you can get Vex bounties from her, which will give you extra incentive to do the Vex Offensive over again.

How to Silence Oracles in Vex Offensive in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep?

To silence the Oracles in Vex Offensive in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep, you have to do the same thing as with Crotheon’s shield. When you arrive at this step Gate Technicians are gonna appear. Kill them and pick up the Void Cranium that they drop. Aim it at the Oracle, and blast it to smithereens. Rinse and repeat as necessary.
