Red Dead Redemption 2 Lonnie's Shack Homestead Stash Location

Lonnie’s Shack Homestead Stash in RDR2 is one of several such locations in the game. Finding Red Dead 2 homestead stashes, like Lonnie’s Shack, goes towards the the Breaking and Entering Trophy, and they also earn you some good loot, and a good amount of money. You really want to find these places, even though they’re out of the way. Our Red Dead Redemption 2 Lonnie’s Shack Homestead Stash Location guide is going to show you where exactly to find Lonnie’s Shack, and how to get the actual homestead stash, with step-by-step instructions.

Where to Find Lonnie’s Shack in RDR2?

To find Lonnie’s Shack in Red Dead Redemption 2, you’re gonna have to go to the north of Lemoyne. You can start at Emerald Station / Emerald Ranch, and head south into Lemoyne, and keep going util you reach the shack. Alternatively, you can go northeast of Ringneck Creek. It’s a bit in the middle of nowhere, so it’s kinda hard to describe the exact location. Check out the map below for easier orientation.

Either way, you’re gonna have to go up a path to find Lonnie’s Shack at the top of a small hill. Beware, because the shack is inhabited by four outlaws. Needless to say, they’re not going to be too happy if they catch you nosing around. However, they will be key in solving the Lonnie’s Shack homestead stash location mystery. Which segues us into our next segment – how to get the actual stash.

Where to Find Lonnie’s Shack RDR2 Homestead Stash – How to Get?

To find the Homestead Stash in Lonnie’s Shack in Red Dead Redemption 2, you’re gonna have to leave one of the outlaws alive and interrogate him at gunpoint. There are several ways to do this. You can wait for the outlaws in Lonnie’s Shack to pass out from drinking for the stealthy approach. Or, you can kick down the door and go in guns a-blazin’. That’s how we did it.

However you choose to do it, again, leave one outlaw alive. Keep him at gun point and threaten him, and he will reveal the location of the stash. Apparently, depending on which outlaw you interrogate, the stash will be in a different place, but we can’t say for sure. Also, we’re not sure if you can kill all the bandits and still find the stash on your own. The safest way is to interrogate one of bandits, just in case. For us, the stash was under the pillow of one of the beds, and we got $75 for our troubles. Oh, and loot everything else, because there’s weapons and other loot to grab.

There’s more to RDR2 homestead stashes than just Lonnie’s Cabin. In fact, there’s seven of them, and we’ve got several covered already. I stumbled on Lonnies shack when travelling to duel with black belle and there wasn’t any bandits here. What did I do differently to you?

So uh, I was given the general location of the shack from a random event (I saved a female prisoner who was being transported and she told me about a shack “North of Rhodes”) and when I went, there were no outlaws. I went in and found a stash box myself, underneath a bed, so I guess I can confirm it’s possible to find it without interrogating an outlaw. However, I’m not sure if this is due to the fact that there were no outlaws in the first place (which is apparently fairly common judging by the other commenter), or if the stash is always hidden there and you can still find it yourself if there are outlaws and you don’t interrogate one.

So I just came across the shack by accident late at night. All 4 of the bandits were in the shack passed out. I was able to sneak around in there and grab everything (including the stash under the bed) without waking them up.

Except there’s money stashed under a pillow on the top bunk that they tell you about. THAT can’t be retrieved without their help.

I found 2 stashes. I skulked around whole the bandits were sleeping and found a stash of $75 under the bed. After I’d looted the place, I stealthily killed all the bandits with throwing knives except the one sleeping at the table. Upon being interrogated at gunpoint, he told me he kept his cut of the takings under a floorboard in the kitchen. I let him go (to retain honour) and took the second stash which was $200.
