Red Dead Online Moonshiners New Frontier Pursuit Announced
A new Specialist Role is coming to Red Dead Online this December. If you so choose, you’ll be able to start up your own bootlegging operation, selling moonshine to people and, if you survive long enough, even open your own speakeasy. Of course, you’ll have to eliminate rivals, dodge the law, and learn better recipes for brewing your stuff.
Red Dead Online offers plenty of opportunities to be an outlaw, and soon enough, there will be yet another. According to the announcement on Rockstar’s website, they’ll be adding the Moonshiner Frontier Pursuit, or Specialist Role, on Friday, December 13th. This role will be available to any and all active Traders that have either completed a sell mission or reached rank 5 as a Trader. Cripps will introduce you to Maggie Fike, a grizzled, old lady that’s an experienced bootlegger. You’ll meet her on Emerald Ranch, and she’ll help you set your business up.
Basically, you’ll purchase a Moonshining Shack, which looks like a normal home on the surface, but is a bootlegging operation in the basement. You’ll also have to finish a string of story missions for Maggie, either solo or in co-op. This will include killing off competition, helping Maggie exact revenge on her enemies, and learn new recipes and techniques to make moonshine. Eventually, you’ll have the option to open your very own bar. This comes with a customizable interior, up to and including a dance floor and country band.
That’s just a part of what’s coming to Red Dead Online on December 13th. You can also look forward to the Outlaw Pass No. 2, the new Navy Revolver, more clothing options, and “an increase in the amount of outfit slots in your Wardrobe.” So, yeah, it’ll be well worth your time to play RDR2 Online this month. Just try not to blind people.
