Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Preorder Bonuses Revealed

Preorders of the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 are now up on the Rockstar Games launcher. And, wouldn’t you know it, they’re offering a ton of extra stuff as preorder bonuses. There’s in-game items, upgrades to Special Editions, and even two other games from Rockstar for free. The cut-off date is October 22nd, so you have a limited time to ruminate on this one. I wonder if this will be enough to incentivize PC players to go through the insurmountable effort of installing another launcher.

Now, let’s go through the preorder bonuses. For one, you’ll get two free Rockstar games of your choosing. Well, not just any game; there’s a list of six to choose from. Which games are on the list? GTA 3, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, Max Payne 3 Complete Edition, Bully Scholarship Edition, and L.A. Noire Complete Edition. At least three games from this list I know for a fact are well-worth playing, the others are more a matter of personal taste. That, however, is just the tip of the tempting iceberg.

You’ll also get a whole bunch of in-game items. Specifically, the War Horse mount, the Outlaw Survival Kit, a Cash Bonus, and the Le Trésor des Morts Treasure Map. All of these items are for the Red Dead Redemption 2 Story Mode. Don’t worry, they have you covered for the Online Mode too, with a grand total of fifty Gold Bars. If you’ve never played RDR2 Online, this might not seem like a lot. Trust us, it’s an obscene amount of free gold. You’ll see once you start playing the Online mode.

And now, for the coup de grâce. If you preorder Red Dead Redemption 2 via the Rockstar Games Launcher, you’ll get a free upgrade the Special Edition of the game, or even the Ultimate Edition, “with the Special Edition and Ultimate Edition both discounted by $20 each.” Man, they’re really giving it their all. So, yeah, if you want to preorder RDR2 for PC, go ahead and do it via the Rockstar launcher. They really make it worth your while. Just remember, you gotta do it before October 22nd.
