Destiny 2 Faction Rally - How to Farm Faction Tokens

Faction Rallies are a new event in Destiny 2. They’re a weekly race between three groups. In order to take part, you’ll have to choose your side, then go out into the world and complete activities that reward you with faction tokens. Pump these tokens into your chosen vendor, and you’ll get just a little bit closer to victory. Once the event ends, the winning faction will get to peddle their wares – members will get it cheap, while non-members will have to pay through their noses. In this guide, we’re going to explain the whole event and show you how to farm faction tokens in Destiny 2 faction rally.

Destiny 2 Faction Rally – How to Farm Faction Tokens

How to join faction rally

In order to join in on the fun, you’ll have to finish the story and get to level 20 first. After that, you’ll have to visit the Tower and talk to all three of the vendors. You’ll find Arach Jalaal of the Dead Orbit in the Hangar. Lakshmi-2 of the Future War Cult can be found in a quaint little reception room above the Hangar, while Executor Hideo from the New Monarchy is at the Bazaar. Once you’ve spoken to each of them, you’ll be able to choose your faction. There’s no going back, so choose wisely.

Once the event is over, the winning faction’s vendor will open up shop. You won’t be able to buy from the other two. Members of the winning faction will be able to buy the item for a mere 1000 glimmer, whereas others will have to shell out 50000.

In order to help your faction win, you’ll have to hand over faction tokens. These are obtained by doing various activities out in the world, including the raid, public events, strikes and destroying certain caches in Lost Sectors.

Faction rally rewards

The items we’ve mentioned aren’t the only rewards – each vendor will offer engrams for the duration of the event. You’ll get them by handing over faction tokens, so they can’t really be avoided. Each faction has three armor sets in the pool (one for each class), as well as several weapons and shaders. You’ll be able to get 30 engrams – after that, you’ll simply get shaders each time you rank up. The main draw are the three weapons, though:
  • Haunted Earth – The scout rifle from Dead Orbit. It reload speed when you crouch.
  • Heart of Time – The pulse rifle from Future War Cult. It causes explosions when you score precision kills.
  • Interregnum XVI – The sidearm from New Monarchy. It offers increased speed when aiming down sights.

Faction token farming

Since you’ll need faction tokens to both get the engrams and help your side win, you probably want a way to get them quickly and reliably. Some of the best ways the community has discovered are:
