A fishing pole in RDR 2 is one of the tools you can get in the game. Needless to say, you need a fishing rod in Red Dead Redemption 2 is necessary to go, well, fishing. You will have to go fishing in the game in order to catch some of the legendary beasts that the game has to offer. You’d think that fishing rods would be a dime a dozen at every corner, or that you’d start the game with one. How to Get Fishing Rod in RDR 2 – Where to Find?
To get a fishing pole in Red Dead Redemption 2, you have to get the A Fisher of Men quest. You can first get this quest in Chapter 2, after the Van Der Linde gang establishes their camp. This will likely happen some five or so hours into the game. Go and talk to Abigail to pick up the A Fisher of Men quest. She’ll ask you to go and take her son fishing. The kid, Jack, is sitting in the grass not too far away, near the horses.
Talk to Jack to start the next step. The game will take you to the river; basically, all you have to do from here to complete the quest is just follow what the game tells you. When you get to the fishing spot with Jack, you’ll also get a handy fishing tutorial. This includes how to equip the fishing rod, how to use baits, and so on.
